RUSHDEN & DISTRICT HISTORY SOCIETY
As a Founder Member, for her continual contribution to the furtherance of the aims of this Society and her active encouragement in the recording of the history of the area;
For her unstinting contribution to the work involved through many offices towards the smooth running of the Society; her contributions to the quarterly Journal and in particular the preparation of the Millennium Project book, "A Thousand Years of Rushden ";
For her organisation and arrangement of exhibitions and displays; especially her research for the Bernard Vann V.C. plaque and the unveiling ceremony; her involvement in the Rushden Schools Logbooks Project, and latterly her collating of records of the Rushden Branch of the W.V.S.;
For her continued enquiries into new aspects of research and recording matters relating to Rushden's history, and for sharing her knowledge so generously;

has been awarded the second Honorary Life Membership of this Society
