Rushden & District History Society was formed early in 1991. It aims to encourage and facilitate the study and preservation of Northamptonshire history.

Our monthly meetings are held at Whitefriars School, Boughton Drive, Rushden, NN10 9HX, using the entrance opposite Drayton Close. Onsite parking is limited to those who need it but there is plenty of on-street parking nearby. Meetings start at 7.30 pm.

The society is run by a committee of up to twelve, elected annually at the Annual General Meeting (A.G.M.).

Subscriptions are £6 for an individual, and £9 for family membership. We welcome visitors to our meetings at a cost of £2.50 at the door. Members pay £1.50. Membership forms may be obtained by clicking here .

The Rushden Research Group is part of the society and created the Hearts & Soles heritage website at www.rushdenheartsandsoles.co.uk/ and a copy is held on a touch screen terminal at Rushden Museum.
